Our Beliefs

We believe. . . . .

. . . .the Bible is THE Word of God, free from error, and is the final authority for what we believe and how we live.(2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)  

. . . .there is only one God.  He has revealed Himself in three Persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:2) 

. . . .Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, born of a virgin and living a life with no sin. (Matthew 1:23; John 8:57, 58; Hebrews 7:26)

. . . .man was created good, but willfully sinned separating humanity from God. (Genesis 1:26, 27; 2:17; 3:6; Romans 5:12-19)

. . . .only Jesus can bring man back in relationship with God, and then only when an individual personally asks Jesus to do so in faith. (John 14:6; Acts 4:11,12)

. . . .water baptism is by immersion as a witness to what Christ has done in us (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4) communion is a memorial to Christ's death and an anticipation of His second coming (1 Corinthians 11:26; 2 Peter 1:4).

. . . .the Baptism in the Holy Spirit empowering God's people for service. (John 7:37-39; Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:4, 8)

. . . .the first, physical evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit being speaking in languages that have not been learned by the speaker. (Acts 2:4; 10:44-48; 11:15-18)

. . . .God changes the lifestyles of those who trust Him, making them more like Jesus. (Matthew 28:19, 20; Romans 12:1,2; 1Thessalonians 5:23; 1 Peter 1:15, 16)

. . . .the church is the body of Christ, composed of all who have trusted in Christ, representing Jesus in this world. (Ephesians 1:22, 23; 2:22; Hebrews 12:23)

. . . .in a God called ministry to provide leadership to the Church to the Church. (Mark 16:15-20; John 4:23, 24; Ephesians 4:11, 12)

. . . .God supernaturally heals. (Isaiah 53:4, 5; James 5:14-16)

. . . .Christ will return to earth to rescue His Church from God's judgment of the earth. (Romans 8:23; 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52;1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17)

. . . .Christ will return after the judgment the world to establish His rule over the earth for 1000 years (Zechariah 14:5; Matthew 24:30; Revelation 20:1-6)

. . . .there will be a final judgment of those who died without trusting Christ. (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 19:26; 20:11-15; 21:8)

. . . .God will replace the present universe with a new and better universe. (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21 & 22)
