My name is Dan.

The church has one small office from which I operate, overseeing day-to-day office operations.  I serve as a volunteer, and my hours are not set in stone  As long as the work gets done, and bills are paid on time, I can come and go as I please I became a member of Baxter First Assembly in May of 2010 and have been volunteering in many areas before and since I joined. 

Serving is a verb showing action, and the Bible tells us that we are to serve God by serving others.  Among the many scriptures that speak about "serving", is Hebrews 6:10, "For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for His name in serving others."  True, you cannot WORK your way into heaven, but when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord AND Savior, He changes your heart.  And one of those changes will (should) move you to want to SERVE.

• In Christ Jesus, you have become a new creation and a son of God. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
